We really like that eHost puts its focus on simplicity. Their best feature in our opinion is their drag-and-drop website builder, which sports more than a thousand pre-designed themes. This handy tool can help users create their website in a smooth and easy manner, without knowing anything about programming. For users who are new to website building, this is an extremely handy tool.
Like we said before, eHost offers thousands of templates, which users can customize themselves. They are all organized by categories and design, so every theme is easy to find. Nowadays all websites need to be mobile-ready, which is the reason why eHost offers templates that are fully responsive for all mobile devices and tablets.
eHost Best Features:
cPanel web hosting
In order to have complete control over your account, using the cPanel control panel will allow you to do just that. You’ll be able to easily create new email addresses, add new domains, and install custom scripts like Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, Magento, etc.
Drag and drop site builder
This tool is perfect for newbies to website builder platforms. They might not have had any previous experience in making their own website, but will all of a sudden be able to publish content, create custom webpages, upload images, create a contact form, create galleries and slideshows, and publish all this online without the need to know or use any line of code.
Free marketing credits
To help you drive traffic to your website, boost your sales and build up your brand, each new hosting plan includes 100 dollars worth of Google Adwords credits and 100 dollars worth of Yahoo/Bing network ad credits.
Their Quick Install tool helps you to automatically install the software of your liking to your domain. This tab has the most popular blogging platforms, content platforms and eCommerce platforms, such as Joomla, WordPress, Drupal, PrestaShop eCommerce, B2Evolution blog, Magento eCommerce, OS Ticket, phpBB Forum. If this software isn’t what you’re looking for, simply click on the Quickinstall icon in the control panel to see the large range of software. A few examples include ZenCart, Moodle, Modx, Typo3, Sugar CRM, MediaWiki, and others.
The eHost online help center is very extensive and offers 24/7 customer support via email, phone, and live chat. Their team also has 24/7 network monitoring. All the eHost plans are protected by a security suite of over 100 dollars.
We can appreciate when companies use special promotions and bonuses to try and compete with others, but we can also criticize them when we feel they went too far. In our opinion, eHost’s does just that – they start with a “price reduction” of 50% before even starting (is the 50% off promotion the regular price and this is just a sales tactic? we don’t know) and then when moving the cursor outside of the window we were prompt with a pop-up window that gives 60% off instead of the initial 50%, and then when moving the cursor in the second time outside of the window we got 70%. Furthermore, even though we got to $1.65/month after the 70% “special bonus” was applied, we had to sign up for 36 months to receive the deal or otherwise pay $13 if we wanted to sign up on a monthly basis. Usually people do not want to commit for a long period of time before they get to know the service, we know we don’t. Maybe a year, but to commit to 3 years? that’s unacceptable. We think eHost should change this policy as they have a good product, and if you have a good product you should let users try it out before they become customers.
eHost offers a few payment options, so whether you’d rather pay by credit card, debit card or even PayPal, the choice is yours. They accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club International, JCB or Discover Network. Certain electronic cards might also work, but eHost doesn’t accept any prepaid and gift cards.
